Posted Thursday, April 23, 2018 11:07:51As an American living in Europe, my broadband connection has been pretty reliable for the last few years.
I’ve been able to watch shows and movies on Netflix without worrying about a connection outage.
But when it comes to getting online and connecting to the internet, things have been less than perfect.
As of this morning, the Atlantic Wireless network has officially gone down.
I’ve already heard from customers that the outage has impacted them in a number of ways, including not being able to download movies and TV shows.
For me, the real pain is not having access to the Internet at all, but having to pay $50 to access it.
I was hoping to be able to use the service for the rest of the day, but that’s not the case.
While there are no word on how long the outage will last, the internet is likely going down for an extended period of time, especially if it’s a major outage.
I have no idea when the outage might start or stop, but I’ve also not heard of any plans for the service to be back online for the foreseeable future.
There’s a good chance that the internet won’t be back up in a week or so, at the very least.
We have yet to see any word from Atlantic Wireless, or anyone else, on when the service will be back in operation, but we’re hopeful.
Atlantic Wireless is a subsidiary of Verizon Wireless, which is currently experiencing outages.
The service was launched in October of 2017 and provides speeds of up to 1 gigabit per second, which includes 1,000 connections to the wireless network.
Atlantic is offering a free trial, and the service is currently available in the US, Canada, Puerto Rico, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
