NEW YORK — The AT&s branded wireless broadband internet modem that will be available to customers of the carrier’s wireless broadband service is a free device and not a subscription, AT&am officials said Wednesday.
The wireless broadband modem is designed to work with AT& amp internet customers without a separate modem or contract.
AT& is developing a wireless broadband line of products to offer for wireless broadband customers, which it hopes to launch in 2019, said Robert W. Johnson, AT &’s senior vice president for communications, in a statement.
“The wireless modem will be compatible with all AT& am services,” he said.
“It will provide wireless broadband users the ability to connect to other AT&Am services at no additional cost.”
The wireless technology is part of a new generation of wireless broadband devices that are designed to offer customers of AT> services a free alternative to paying for a monthly broadband subscription.
AT< has been working on wireless broadband products for about a decade and the devices include a smartphone, which is a wireless internet device.
