The pioneer of modern broadband, Pioneer, is calling on its customers to “get excited about the future” and be patient when it comes to the availability of the internet.
In a blog post, Pioneer says the company is “really excited about what’s coming up” for internet speeds in the future and that the technology is already being deployed.
“We’re going to keep working hard and seeing how much faster we can get internet service in the years ahead,” Pioneer CEO Robert Gershman wrote.
“But the world is really getting better.”
Mr Gersheman said Pioneer is “going to be a pioneer” in the industry and “really committed to delivering high-quality internet service” for its customers.
“In the years to come, we will build out the network to meet the ever-changing needs of the people we serve, and we will be in a position to do it without having to raise any additional capital,” he said.
Mr Ghersheman has already made clear that his company will have to raise capital for the network expansion, which will be a “key part of” its next two-year plan to keep up with demand for the service.
“The future of internet is uncertain, but we are excited about being a pioneer in this space,” he wrote.
“With the right support, we are going to be able to make this happen.”
Pioneer will be building out its network in four parts, with a new part opening next year, and the company will also be laying fibre optic cable between its existing network in South Australia and the new network in Tasmania.
“For us it’s the next step in building a network to keep our customers in the loop about what is going on with the internet and the technology in general,” Mr Gershauser said.
“So, while we are focused on building our network, we also have to ensure that we are delivering what we think are the best services to our customers.”
The company has also launched a new digital platform called Pioneer Connect to allow customers to connect to their own home broadband network.
“Pioneers Connect is the fastest and most flexible way to connect your own internet service provider,” Mr Kresher said.
