It is an age-old practice, but for some Australians it’s still a requirement to log into the internet to make a payment.
In the past, the practice was to log onto the internet from home, and then make a small payment using a credit card.
But it’s no longer required, with internet service providers such as iiNet and Optus saying they will not charge for the login.
This is despite reports in some media that some Australians are being charged by their mobile phone companies for the privilege.
In response to these reports, iiNet chief executive officer Andrew Fenton said that the practice of logging onto the NBN network at home had been discontinued.
“We are not charging for this at the moment,” he said.
“It’s been discontinued by the NBN.”
The payment process can be done using either a credit or debit card.
“I think there’s been some confusion, and a couple of things have gone wrong over the last two weeks,” iiNet CEO Andrew Fesson said.
When you go through the login process, it doesn’t look like you’re making a payment but you’re actually taking money out of the system.
But iiNet says there is no change in how the system works, nor is there any indication that the payment will be made from the account.
What to do when your mobile phone doesn’t support the login The payment option is not available for all devices, but iiNet has released an online guide on how to make one.
You can also use your credit or bank card to pay for the payment using PayPal or a mobile app.
If you have a payment card or a debit card, you can use the app to pay with your bank account or credit card or even pay directly from the device.
You need to have a mobile internet connection to do this.
PayPal, which has a large presence in Australia, has said that it is “committed to supporting payments across our customers’ payment cards”.
However, it has recently been criticised by privacy advocates for its use of data collected by its payment processing partners.
According to privacy advocate Mark James, it is not possible to disable payment card logging because the card number can be accessed.
He said the site should be renamed to “Make a payment without your card number”, and that the site is not compatible with older browsers that don’t support login.
However iiNet said it was not responsible for any data that users upload to the site.
“The only data we collect is payment details, and this data is anonymised to ensure it is anonymous and is not shared with anyone,” the company said.
